Zi Cottages are directly across from Mnemba Island, and are a great base for exploring Zanzibar.

It's a very short walk down to the beach, and to visit other Hotels for a cocktail or meal

Swimming in the sea is only possible at high tide (like most of Zanzibar!)
Zi Loft Cottage and the Garden Rooms are studios... so are not enormous... but we think they're perfectly adequate!
Each cottage is tastefully decorated with African curios, and all are fully equipped.
All cottages have use of the sun deck on the beach, paddle skis and kayaks, and everyone can play a game of pool in the Garden Room’s lounge… or enjoy the view while having lunch in the Restaurant.
Breakfast, dinner, tea and coffee are included in the rate, making it excellent value for money.
Zi BeachCottage was especially built as a stand-alone cottage for honeymooners, couples or small families. A spacious deck features a plunge pool with expansive views of the Indian Ocean… and steps lead directly from the deck onto the beach!
Accommodation is in 2 bedrooms which both feature:
- air-conditioning
- ceiling fans
- mosquito nets
King Room
A huge open plan room which incorporates a king size bed, and a spacious living area (including DSTV, bar and dining room table). There is a separate bath, shower and toilet en-suite.
Glass doors exit directly onto the pool deck overlooking the beach and sea.
Queen Room
A Queen size bed, own shower, toilet and basin. Glass doors lead outside.
The bar at the property is stocked with beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water and most popular spirits.
Zi Dhow Cottage is on the ground floor, a short walk from a lovely beach where you can watch the fishermen mend their nets.
The spacious studio has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom, and down a step is the sunken living room. You will find African artifacts, a bar made from a wooden dhow sailing boat, a TV and a comfy couch that can be made into a bed for another 2 people. The cottage can comfortably sleep a couple, a family of 4 – or two friends wanting separate beds.
Glass doors lead on to a large veranda with a plunge pool and beautiful ocean views. Soak up some sun on the loungers, read a book on the daybed, or eat a meal at the table for 4.
Breakfast and dinner are included in the rate, lunch can be ordered off the menu or – for a change of scenery – you might like to try out a restaurant further down the beach.

Up a flight of stairs, directly above Zi Dhow Cottage, you’ll find Zi Loft Cottage. It is a wonderfully private studio with incredible views over the beach and ocean. With a king size bed, en-suite bathroom and a good size veranda, what more could you ask for?
Cool off in the small plunge pool, enjoy the baraza-style sitting area, and savour a freshly squeezed fruit juice with your breakfast or dinner (both included in the rate).

There are 3 garden rooms towards the back of the property. Each one has its own veranda, where you can relax on your daybed and enjoy the peace and quiet. The spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom has a king size bed, air conditioning, a fan, a mosquito net and DSTV.
Meals are served in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the sea. There is also a wonderful upstairs lounge where you can hang out, have a drink and play a game of pool.
