Villa Turquoise sleeps up to 12 guests, in 5 en-suite bedrooms.

Villa Turquoise is built in typical East African style, with an impressive thatched roof, large tropical garden (10,000m2, with palm trees, oriental fruits and flowers) and a large swimming pool (5 x 10m).
An expansive sundeck surrounds the pool and there are two further decks in the garden and on the private beach.
A private beach (80m wide) connects directly to a lagoon and the Indian Ocean.
There are plenty of amenities available for relaxation and sports, including:
- Private power boat for watersports, snorkeling and fishing
- 2 sailing boats (Optimists)
- Library
- Games room with pool table
- Satellite TV and DVD
- CD Player
- Wi-Fi Internet, etc.…
NB: use of the villa’s speed boat:
- On the days when you use the speed boat… there is a fee of 75$ per day for the skipper and petrol + $3 per person for the Menai conservation fee.
The chef is an excellent cook who can prepare any dish you like, from local and traditional dishes to Asian and Western dishes. And for aspiring amateur cooks, he will gladly organize cooking lessons with traditional dishes and local spices (which Zanzibar is famous for!)
Villa Turquoise has 4 dining areas:
- outside on the large wooden terrace in front of the house, where you can enjoy a sunrise breakfast overlooking the ocean
- directly on the private beach (the ideal place for seafood barbecues!)
- inside, on the ground floor of the villa
- a large dining and lounge area on the first floor under the Makuti roof, with 270 degree views on the ocean and the jungle behind the house
The staff at Villa Turquoise offer totally flexible catering arrangements, and all meal plans can be catered for:
- Half board (breakfast and lunch/dinner)
- Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Half / Full Board includes water, coffees and teas during the day, soft drinks during the meals, chefs fee; excludes alcoholic beverages
- Pay $30 a day for the chef, and groceries are for your account (shopping service fee applies)
Drinks: bring your own drinks, or have the staff shop for you (service fee applies)
Walk for miles along perfect white beaches and enjoy watching the fishermen coming in with their fresh catch, or visit the school and fish market in the nearby village of Matemwe.
Go snorkeling around Mnemba Island with Villa Turquoise’s own speedboat, or have a picnic on one of the pristine sandbanks that appear around low tide. (The speedboat incurs an additional cost for the skipper and fuel.)
Deep sea fishing can easily be arranged for you, or embark on an early morning fishing adventure with the local fishermen.
Visit several bars and restaurants (no large resorts) within walking distance from the Villa, along the beach.
The villa’s House Manager will gladly organize day trips for you to Stone Town, Jozani Forest, Chumbe Island, etc.
